Well in the UK we had a heatwave on a bank holiday weekend. This is not normal so we used it for rest and gardening (these are very different tasks). Ice cream was eaten and then there was a short four day week of five days work plus a rail delay. Reading was slow so I found myself picking up a straightforward thriller from Mount TBR and had to laugh and admire the madness/genius of a genetically modified ape that actually was not really needed to the plot. A test for an editor to see if anyone had noticed? I do not know but I admire a book going for weird out of nowhere. I’m not going to tell you which book it is as I think if you ever find it you want to be surprised :)
I find myself planning out the summer reading, have a few emails for the blog to catch up on and seeing what the art of the possible is on that TBR pile - a bit of rest does wonders
