Cover reveal - When There Are Wolves Again by EJ Swift

Hellooo!

A treat to start your weekend with! I am a huge fan of EJ Swift’s work and their Clarke Award nominated novel The Coral Bones by E J Swift — Runalong The Shelves is one of my favouriute ever reads - yep ever! Now a new book comes later this October via Arcadia. Look at that cover below and to tempt you more here is a bit about the book!

Decades from now, two women sit beside a campfire and reflect on their life stories.

Activist Lucy’s earliest memories are of living with her grandparents during the 2020 pandemic and discovering her grandmother’s love of birds. Filmmaker Hester was born on the day of the Chernobyl explosion and visits the site years later to film its feral dogs in the Exclusion Zone. Here she meets Lux, the wolf dog who will give her life meaning.

Over half a century, their journeys take them from London to the Highlands to Somerset, through protests, family rifts and personal tragedy. Lucy joins the fight to restore Britain’s depleted natural habitats and revive the species who once shared the island, whilst Hester strives to give a voice to those who cannot speak for theselves.

Both dream of a time when there are wolves again.

“Cover designer Jack Smyth has created this stunningly beautiful artwork for When There Are Wolves Again, which perfectly captures the book’s themes of connectivity and hope for new beginnings. Wolves is out in the world this October; I hope readers will enjoy following Lucy’s and Hester’s journeys as much as I've enjoyed writing them.” - E. J. Swift
