Cover Reveal - The Dominion of The Fallen by Aliette de Bodard
Hellooo!!!
Today a treat for you regular readers will know that I always enjoy reading and tempting the work of Aliette de Bodard and next year we have a very welcome re-issue to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the excellent Dominion of The Fallen trilogy!
Let’s go to a very different version of Belle Epoque Paris. One wrecked by magic, filled with angels (fallen or otherwise), a suite of warring houses, betrayals, murders, alchemists and did I mention Vietnamese Dragons?
Gothic, atmospheric, mysterious, full of intrigue and was very clear about upfront queer characters in the central spotlight. It really cemented de Bodard as a writer I wanted to read and now you can watch the Houses vie for power while those working for them fear they may have paid too high a price in doing so.
This rather wonderful looking new edition of the trilogy has a lovely set of covers by Tara O’Shea. Which you can bask in below. This time the new editions also have bonus stories set in the same world and have introductions by none other than Kate Elliott and Adrian Tchaikovsky.
The new editions of the trilogy are available for preorder now in ebook and paperback, wherever books are sold.
The first instalment The House of Shattered Wings sets the scene and introduces all the key characters to meet/fear/fall in love with/all of the above
