Tidy The TBR Update and New Monthly Challenge

Hellooo!

I confess dear reader I am still working on my February challenges there is a lot going on in my day role and reading time has been unexpectedly condensed. March should be a lot easier (I have days off) but this has been tricky. All good but I am tired!

So how is Tidy the TBR going despite that?

So for February I have now read 35 books 25 ARCS and 10 TBRs (previously 20 books 15 ARCs and 5 TBRs) Very much back to novels but with quite a few story collection hanging around. Things are ticking along and Subjective Chaos tends to help also clear some shelves . I’ll play March by ear. It is important as a few people have said they’re late to me - you start the challenge each month you have though all year to complete them. This is fun not meant to be agony!

The March Challenge

This month challenge is about the pain of FOMO (the fear of missing out) that can also lead to endlessly delayed gratification.

This time for the beginning of spring you need to start a series you have never read before. Release this work from Mount TBR!

Stretch goal - by the end of the year read all the remaining books in the same series. If you chose Wheel of Time that’s on you not me. If a new book comes out in 2022 then you’re allowed to read it when it is published.

You know how it is - you hear about a cool book one year. You pick it up. You put it on the shelf. A year passes you hear nothing but good things but you’ve still not read the first book but hearing this series is so good you pick up book 2 and then before you know it the series is completed and you’re…still yet to read the first chapter!

But fear not now is the time! I give you permission to read the first book. If you like it read the rest this year but if not then you can let the series go.

My choice this year is Jade City By Fonda Lee I’ve never heard a bad thing about it from people I trust and I’ve been holding back for a good day to read it and now here I go and hopefully the rest of the Green Bone Saga will follow!

What are your picks? Let me know in the twitters, Mastodons or the comments!
