Hello 2020!!

Welcome to the ‘20s!! A new decade of excitement, despair, joy and of course books await us. Lets hope next year we are all feeling more positive about the way the world is heading. This is my favourite day of the year partly it’s so quiet as all the extraverts are asleep but its also the day when we get to reset focus on what we want to do and for the blog that means reading goals!

a) Keep up the pace – remembering to blog after reading is hard sometimes but I enjoy it after the fact. I don’t need a scary intense schedule but it’s just fun to tempt you all. I do like the Week in Womble as it allows me to close a week up. Doing that once a week would be great aim

b) Book Tags – The world of bloggers and vloggers have lots of lovely little questions and habits I’d love to do more of these as mini posts

c) Readalongs – the big one for the year is the five readalong challenges I’ve set myself. It’s doable but this will be hard but also, I think a lot of fun

d) Release dates – One thing I need to get better at is ARC releases. For 2020 I will apart from a big catch up on a few outstanding the next two months also be working on ensuring you hear about the book before or at the time of publication

e) Endings – I want to progress the series outstanding on my shelves. Two in particular look good for January…

f) Indies – I’m aware that this is a very competitive market so if you’re an indie SF/Horror/Crime print and think you may have something that looks up my street please contact me at the link at the top

g) Short stories – as well as collections I would like to get back into short story magazines

For me goals are positive things I want to try and do rather than stop. I hope 2020 gives you the chance to do things you’ve never done before and some delicious surprises await you

What are your reading challenges?
